The Writer's Block Post...

That look on your face when a combination of things have worked against you, and now, you can't write what's on your mind.

My barber left Brooklyn.

Actually, he left the entire state of New York.

As a human being, understanding the reason he had to leave was easy, and I wish him all the best.

As a human being who is in desperate need of a haircut by a competent barber, I was like, "Oh crap".

So, with illogic and desperation firmly rooted in my head, I made a command decision; I needed a haircut really bad, so I went with the closest barber I could find.

Worst decision, ever.

I mean, everything started out okay. But when it was time to line up the edges, I could feel the barber's clippers pressing harder into my forehead. While part of me was screaming, "What the hell is this guy doing? make it stop!", the other part of me was saying, "Man up. it will be over in a minute".

I should've listen to the first part of me.

A few days after the haircut, I got scar tissue from where that fricken butcher dug into my head like he was doing fricken brain surgery.

"First, there was Scarface. Now, there's Scarhead"! (rated NC-17 for language)

Some of you are having a laugh right now. Some of you might be saying, "Victor, it ain't that serious". But you are all wrong. Or as Fat Joe once eloquently said:

"The f&^%$# s!@# is real".

Hence, my blogger's block.

For so many years, I would laugh at other folks too. All those pathetic suckers that lamented the loss of someone, or something important to their lives. Maybe their reliable mechanic retired, Maybe the folks that ran the fish spot for so many years, turned it over to their kids, and now the business went down the toilet. Or maybe they lost their hair stylist. I was always the one that would be like, "WTF, bro? Man the F*&^ up already. IT AINT THAT SERIOUS!"

Until it happened to me. And now, I'm totally f@#ked up.

By now, some of you are thinking, "Ok, here he comes with the answer to his question."

Well, I don't. Not this time. I really want to hear from someone else. What do you do when that person or thing is no longer available to you? What was your solution to finding a replacement? How did you know when you found that right one?

Let me know what you come up with. But don't take too long: my hair is growing out again....
