What you can expect for your headshot session
If you made it this far, Thanks for sticking with me!
Now, lets get to the nitty gritty:
The consultation- This is where you and I get together to discuss your needs and goals. Depending on what you want to accomplish, the consultation can run anywhere from 10mins, all the way up to 30mins on average.
The contract- A necessary evil, but it helps define the parameters of our relationship, and insures there's no grey areas.
Reserve your date- Ever get scheduled for something, only to find that when you get there, someone is already in your place? Not any more! Once you select your day and time, that day and time are yours. A non-refundable 74.99 fee is required to lock in your day. That fee is absorbed into the total cost of your session.
Now's your time to SHINE!
Your headshots aren't just about making you look marvelous (which you will anyway). It's to help people see who you are. With that in mind, here's some tidbits to move you in the right direction:
Clothing for your headshots- Choose only what looks good on you, and fits you.
Stick with solid colors. Avoid designs that distract from your face.
Bring at least 3 changes. Have your clothes cleaned and pressed beforehand; puit your best foot forward and make that first good impression!.
Jewelry- If a role you want to audition for requires jewelry, bring some. Be sure that it's specific the role you're after. Otherwise, leave it at home to avoid distracting casting directors.
Hair- Wear your hair the way you wish to be photographed. Wash and condition and/ or cut if needed as close as possible to the actor headshot session.
Make up- Unfortunately, I do not have a makeup artist on staff, but I can assist you in selecting one if needed. Remember, your actor headshot is not a fashion shoot. Keep it simple.
Come with an open mind- To get good headshot(s), we're going to step your game up. Some of what we will do may feel odd at times, but you'll have images that will make you look, and feel, like a BOSS. I guarantee it!
Audition Reel (Actors Only)- While headshots are a key component, Casting Directors are looking for that extra bit that can help push you closer to landing a role, and that is where Audition Reels come in to play. No need to DIY-it; just come with your script, your acting chops, and lets get you working!
